What are the Best Las Vegas Shows

One of the first things people think about when talking about Las Vegas is gambling, another of the things that Las Vegas is renowned for is fantastic entertainment.  Some of the worlds greatest stars have had long-running shows in Las Vegas, including Elton John, Barry Manilow, Celine Dion, Bette Midler, Tom Jones and many more.  Often these shows get booked up months in advance because the staging, costumes, and general glitz and glamour are so amazing.

Other spectacular performances include astounding acrobatic acts like those of Cirque du Soleil, musical performances such as The Phantom of the Opera, magic and illusion from David Copperfield, and there are even interactive shows that allow you to walk the deck of Starship Enterprise, plus plenty of shows suitable for children if you are taking a family holiday in Las Vegas.

If you want the best of the best then I would certainly recommend The Phantom of the Opera, thanks to its $40 million Opera House, with luxurious red velvet seats, built especially for the performances, and stunning costume design.  The live performance is awe-inspiring and you can’t help but get caught up in the atmosphere and I was left with goose-bumps at the thrill of the spectacle.

Acrobatic spectaculars from Cirque du Soleil are always worth going to see, but for the most dramatic you should visit The Bellagio.  The hotel in its own right is beautiful, and easily well worth a visit, but the show will leave you speechless.  The power and athleticism of the performers is spectacular and the set is phenomenal.

No matter what your preference Las Vegas will have a show to suit your tastes, however some can be expensive so do see if your hotel will offer any special deals on shows before you book elsewhere.  Also, as soon as you know the dates for your visit to the city it is worth deciding which shows you would like to see and getting these booked, as you don’t want to miss out on something you really wanted to see because it is booked up during your stay.
