This places The Hotel right in the heart of Las Vegas along the famous (or infamous depending on who you are) Las Vegas Strip. The Hotel therefore places you within walking distance of the best casinos in Las Vegas as well as the best shopping, eating, drinking and entertainment that the Sin City has to offer. When all of these different bonuses are added together, the only possible conclusion that can be reached is that The Hotel at Mandalay Bay is in one of the best locations the city has to offer.
Accommodations
While the location is certainly important, the marketing of The Hotel at Mandalay Bay focuses much more on the actual accommodations themselves than it does on any other factor. For this reason, it is only fair to make the accommodations the primary point of evaluation. In terms of the numbers, the smallest suite located in this new concept is 725 square feet and that is truly enormous if it is the small category of room. In addition to that, the 1,117 rooms in this 43-floor building contain different combinations of plasma television sets, high-speed internet connections, beautiful tile finishes, bars installed in the room, light fixtures that are energy efficient and an overall design that is luxury personified. The Hotel at Mandalay Bay is definitely a building that has had everything done to it and that is why it is such a unique experience in a city that prides itself on having good accommodations.
Extras
The extras at The Hotel are impressive as well. There is of course access to everything in the original Mandalay Bay Hotel and Casino, as well as a separate spa, salon and fitness centre built into The Hotel. You can also walk around to different coffee houses that make great java and play a little billiards without having to leave the building. All of these things point to a very thoughtful layout as far as extras are concerned.
Conclusion
While the location and the extras are very impressive, it is really the accommodations that make The Hotel at Mandalay Bay great. And don't kid yourself; if the accommodations are not the reason that you decide to stay here, there really isn't any other point.
