Holidays in Las Vegas

Do you think of Las Vegas as a travel destination place for gambling and drinking? No place for children? Well, you may be surprised to find that there are plenty of hotels that are great for children and there is a lot to do in the area to keep them entertained and plenty for you to do together as a family. If your kids like to swim and mess about in the water in general make sure you pick a hotel with a good pool area so that you can have the occasional quiet day just sitting and relaxing around the pool. You don’t necessarily want to be off out on a day long travel every day of your holiday; but if you do want to do this you won’t be short for choice.

For a nice pool with bridges, lagoons, waterfalls and rafts available to rent you could try staying at The Mirage. If you are concerned that your children aren’t strong swimmers there are complimentary life jackets available. One plus point of the pool location is that it is quite near the guest elevators so it is convenient if you want to just drop down to the pool for an hour before or after a trip out. Other child friendly hotels are the MGM Grand and the Monte Carlo, which also have great pool facilities and tube rental for truly enjoying the entire pool area. You may even find some offers for rental if you search on the internet, or, if you are booking through an agent, try asking them what extra they offer and you may even be able to thrash out a few extra bargains thrown in to your deal.

Things you could try when you travel to Las Vegas are visiting the Liberace Museum, go up the Stratosphere Tower, visit the Hoover Dam and take a Kayaking trip, or the Grand Canyon, where you can even try River Rafting. The Red Rock Canyon tour is well worth it, as it is one of the most beautiful attractions of the Mojave Desert.

Helicopter Tours and Horseback Rides are other ways of spending a day around Las Vegas, and for an alternative adrenaline rush you could ride shotgun in a stock car at the Las Vegas Richard Petty Ride Along Experience. And of course there are the usual activities like mountain biking, land sailing or SUV tours. There is so much to choose from on your travels that you’ll find you’re having to book your next vacation to fit it all in.
